Robin Francotte
Biography
Robin first joined ALGC as a master student in 2020, in the context of his master thesis, supervised by Prof. De Proft, Prof. Geerlings and Prof. Teale (University of Nottingham). During that time, he focused on the effects that strong magnetic fields (> 200 000 Tesla) can have on atomic properties such as the electronegativity or ionization potential. Two years later, Robin officially joined the ALGC research group once more, this time as a teaching assistant. With Prof. Tielens as his current supervisor, Robin will be focusing his research primarily on the interactions between bio-organic molecules and materials of biological origin, such as oxalates, phosphates and carbonates.
