José Luis Nuñez
Biography
José Luis obtained his ‘Licenciatura en Química’ degree at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), Argentina, in April 2020, after presenting a degree thesis on the ab initio studies of modified carbon nanotubes and OER reaction. He also worked on experimental chemistry at the Physics Department (FBCB, UNL, Argentina), particularly in EPR characterization of a copper dianionic complex. He is currently pursuing a Joint PhD program between UNL and VUB, focused on the atomistic analysis of the chemical properties and reactivity of modified carbon materials (CNT, graphene, GO, r-GO), with special emphasis on the water-splitting reaction. His doctoral work is carried out under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Paola Quaino (IQAL, UNL) and Prof. Dr. Frederik Tielens (ALGC, VUB). He is interested in the use and development of computer codes applied to the description and prediction of chemical properties of novel materials, which better understanding can help science and technology advancement.
